Status Page Downtime Events Automatically Create Incident Option

Have a status page option that allows you to see the downtime related events in the event history. This would be helpful to see trends better as well as provide better tracking for downtime that is accessible to a broader audience. A couple of options would be to either 1-allow downtime events to automatically create incidents (probably most useful if done per object vs page as a whole) or 2-have a new category that downtime events are assigned to that will show in the history of events. Seeing the events you want reflected in the event history without manual intervention of incident creation process is the goal.

Feature Request

AWS CloudFormation/CDK Support

Cloud services that are defined in code via AWS Cloudformation (and the associated Cloud Development Kit) would benefit from being able to define service monitors in the same infrastructure definition language in which they define the rest of their infrastructure.

Feature Request

Advanced check validation: HTML content.

I would like to have validation check (just like the one in simple HTTPS checks) of “HTML should contain”. I have highly dynamic website I would like to validate with transaction check. The problem is that I don’t have any stable css selectors to use for validation (every ID is randomly generated per deployment version). I can’t use simple HTTPS checks as there are cases where content load down the line might break the website and simple HTTPS check would respond to first 200 encountered. The idea would be to: go to page > sleep > see if HTML looks as it should based on existence of strings, but that’s not an option — can only validate head/title/css selectors, etc..

Feature Request

Incident Management & On-Call IRM

Incident management system for Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) and Operations teams for on call and notification management.

Feature Request

More granular user-permissions down to specific checks

We would find it very useful to have more granular permissions for users. In our use-case, we would prefer our infrastructure team to manage the http-checks and sslcert-checks. However checks like API / Transaction require more in-depth understanding of the service being checked, so would be better suited for the service owner to manage (i.e. our developer/app teams). Currently only 3 different permission levels are available, but these are not tied to the types of checks a user can manage. We could potentially work around this with sub-accounts, but the same problem would still exist. Sub-accounts also do not work for us because they are not available to manage in the uptime terraform provider. Thanks again

Feature Request

Allow Bulk Export of Monitors with Key ID and then Import to Update

It would be nice to be able to import your monitors from the exported CSV/excel file to update existing monitors. Sample use case would be I want to update the contacts for 50 monitors in excel (but the contacts will all be different so UI won’t do). I would export them via the export option, make my updates, then import them back in to update. Currently when you import it creates new.

Feature Request

SCIM User Provisioning Support

SCIM User Provisioning Support for automatic user provisioning and creation via SCIM protocol.

Feature Request

Additional Access Level "Detailed View Only"

It would be nice to have an additional “Access Level” where Users can see additional details of a monitoring check, especially the “Check steps” for API & transaction checks (but no cleartext password or vault items). Thanks for considering! Regards, Gino

Feature Request

gRPC check

Requesting a gRPC check type Our team heavily gRPC endpoints internally with mTLS for authentication. We want to ensure those services are reachable and functional without exposing an additional REST endpoint solely for monitoring. Native gRPC checks would allow us to monitor the real production path and catch API breaks sooner.

Feature Request

Maintenance reason

Ability to specify simple comment on maintenance to specify why it was created. This can help to identify if there is a maintenance configured for a check that should no longer be in that maintenance mode. If someone forgets to bring maintenance window down, having a reason for its existence (jira task, description of a job to do, date) would be extremely helpful.

Feature Request

Transaction Checks / Duplicate Steps

I’m aware you can duplicate monitors. This is convenient. But I’d like the option to replace JUST the steps in an advanced monitor or transactional monitor from another existing monitor. Use Case: We have a SaaS application. Same code, many instances, many transactional monitors (one per instance). We just made a big UI update which changes the page elements. This means every one of my 13 step transactional monitors needs to be updated. I’d like to update one, then be able to use “copy from” under the edit>steps section. I can then open the dozens of other monitors and click “Copy From” > choose monitor. Optionally “Export / Import” for the steps config would work. I know I can easily delete the monitor and clone the fixed one, but then I lose all of my history and reporting which is critical.

Feature Request

Wait for step enhancement in transaction checks

Currently, transaction checks support only a fixed 1-second wait step. Enhance this functionality by making the wait duration configurable, allowing users to set a custom delay (e.g., "Wait for 5 seconds," "Wait for 10 seconds," etc.).

Feature Request

Traceroute Check

Traceroute check to track in real-time the pathway taken by a packet on a network from source to destination.

Feature Request

Generate traceroutes on Check down event

Generate traceroutes when a check is down. helps provide evidence to ISPs/Operators when such events occur. Everybody asks for traceroutes when opening a ticket.

Feature Request

DB Monitoring Check

Monitoring check type for monitoring databases for availability and expected query response.

Feature Request

Self monitoring of private locations

It would be good if there was built in monitoring to know when the private location is no longer reporting back to our instance.

Feature Request

Run Test Immediately (UI+API) for any test type

There is a desire to create an immediate API check for CI/CD environments when there are continuous deployments. Currently there is a need to wait for the minimum duration, but the ability to test a deployment during the promotion process could save costly downtime. Ability to hit an API to run the test immediately and return a result (up/down) for any test type.

Feature Request

Option to automatically set public status page maintenance based on check

Hi, We had some feedback from internal users that they were expecting the public status pages to show active maintenance, if the associated check(s) were configured to be under maintenance. I believe this does not happen - but it would be very useful if this could be an option. It would save additional (somewhat duplicated) work in terms of having to additionally set maintenance on the status page. Currently we’re making use of the internal status page, and we utilise both “Under maintenance now” and “Maintenance schedules” on http checks. Thanks

Feature Request

Scheduled SLA Calculation Windows

Scheduled SLA Calculation Windows Add the ability to schedule when the SLA should be impacted on checks; i.e. - I only want my SLA impacted during 9AM UTC to 5PM UTC. This is a different functionality then maintenance windows - where as the alerts will still be fired and sent to endpoints and users/contacts but downtime will not impact the SLA during the scheduled period of time Maintenance Windows that overlap with these schedules would be over ridden by the Maintenance Schedule in place (if one exists)

Feature Request

Use a check in multiple components on a single status page

I'd like to add a check in multiple different groups within a single status page. For example, i have a check that checks the UserIdentification service. If the UserIdentification service is down, it will affect Authentication and Order Processing (for example) I'd like to have groups for Authentication and Order Processing on the status page and have the check apply to both of those so that both are listed as affected when the User Identification service is affected, so that I can provide better feedback on the overall effects of the outage rather than just reporting on the check itself. At present, the only way to do this is to duplicate the checks, which then means managing multiple instances of the same check independently, increasing admin overhead.

Feature Request

Network Check - HTTP(S)

Uptime will be launching a new Check type: Network - HTTP(S). The Check will make use of an additional fleet of probe servers located within Eyeball/ISP/Final Mile Networks globally. The check will also allow traceroutes to be executed, stored, and reviewed on Check Up/Down transitions.

Feature Request

Status Page v2.0

Major status page visual and performance based improvement. SP 2.0 will enable additional feature expansion and enhanced user controls.

Feature Request

Add "White Label" functionality to Status Pages

Allow the Uptime.com branding to be hidden/removed from my public status pages as well as the email notification footer so that users can present a fully white-labeled experience to my users. This feature will add a "Hide Uptime Branding" checkbox under the "Customize Look & Feel" settings page. This functionality will only be available only to Premium and higher-tier plans. When enabled, it will remove "Powered by Uptime.com" from status pages and the footer links to Uptime.com in notifications.

Feature Request

Support More than 1000 Components on Status Pages

Trying to build a single pane of glass for global services is very difficult with this limit in place. We have over 3000 active services and this limitation prevents us from doing so. As an aside, the performance of status pages could stand to be improved.

Feature Request

Status Page New Event Type - General Event

Status Page today supports Incidents & Maintenance types. These are good for majority of incident management use cases however, there are many cases where we want to communicate general events to customers hence the need to have a General Event Type.

Feature Request

Link to Status Page Post

I often want to share a direct link to a specific incident / maintenance, but I don’t see any way to open or link to a single post. Emails for example say something like “View this scheduled maintenance”, but just link to the home page so you have to find the specific post on your own. Can you please add a page to view a specific post with a unique link?

Feature Request

Ability to have "dark mode" in the UI

Feature Request

WhatsApp Integration - Contact and Alerts

The WhatsApp integration will enable integrating Uptime alerting directly through WhatsApp, as well as use WhatsApp contact directly.

Feature Request

Space for known issues on status page

It would be helpful to have a space to highlight known long-term issues.

Feature Request

Private Location Container Image that works with K8s "Restricted" PSS

Our organisation requires Restricted level in Pod Security Standards, which means there can be no sudo/root commands. Yet the private location container runs cron as root and thus fails to start correctly. Can you make a K8s image that utilises the “uptime” users crontab; or disable cron in the container and provide a setup for Kubernets CronJobs?
