More granular user-permissions down to specific checks

We would find it very useful to have more granular permissions for users.

In our use-case, we would prefer our infrastructure team to manage the http-checks and sslcert-checks.

However checks like API / Transaction require more in-depth understanding of the service being checked, so would be better suited for the service owner to manage (i.e. our developer/app teams).

Currently only 3 different permission levels are available, but these are not tied to the types of checks a user can manage.

We could potentially work around this with sub-accounts, but the same problem would still exist.

Sub-accounts also do not work for us because they are not available to manage in the uptime terraform provider.

    Good morning,

    I have been flicking through feature requests before submitting one of my own to ensure it hadn’t already been covered. I believe my request is very similar to this. My use case is related to least privilege roles - I’d like a role which users can schedule / cancel maintenance only for checks that are configured. Slightly more permissions than view/read-only but not enough to complete pause or re-configure checks.

    Hi Nick - Jonathan here, CEO & Head of Product. Good news this is already in our delivery plans for 2024. Our first iteration will be the ability to break out these roles to monitoring, status page, administration, billing, subscriptions. Second iteration will that take and break it further into checks, check types, etc. Leaving us at the end state of a complete RBAC system down to the check level. - Jonathan
