Filter robots from RUM

I had a customer ask us if there is a way we can filter traffic in RUM before it gets logged and appears on the dashboard?   They have some known traffic patterns from robots and could identify the traffic patterns and give us their IPs or other markers and would like RUM data from those robots to be excluded from the reports.
