We have recently made updates to the Paused check behavior.

Pausing an active check while it is down will count the time from check down to pause as downtime, impacting the SLA. 

For example, if a check goes down at 10:00 AM and is paused at 10:10 AM, the 10 minutes of downtime will affect the SLA, but no additional downtime will be counted after the pause. 

Reports will show downtime between the alert and pause, and alerts will indicate the check was resolved upon pausing.
